Stupid Blog
Sorry if anyone has noticed that my blog background keeps changing! I keep trying to change it to a Christmas background, and it will stay for a little, but then it keeps changing back automatically...argh!!

Fall
After two months into the “twos,” Rylee seems to already be
getting better – hopefully it lasts!!
She doesn’t seem to be throwing as many tantrums, less hitting, and more
listening ;) Rylee seems to be catching
onto this potty training thing pretty well, she has mastered going #1, but #2
is taking a little longer…if she’s gotta do a #2, she runs to her room, grabs a
pull up and tells us to put her diaper on!
She has had a couple successful #2s on the potty, but just not
consistently – I am just glad she tells us to put a diaper on rather than go in
her undies!
Halloween seems like such a long time ago, but I thought I
should probably put a few pics up from Halloween! Rylee had a lot of fun going to Vala’s
pumpkin patch this year, we actually had the pleasure of going two times!! The second trip was for a nighttime bond fire
with friends and I swear that pumpkin patch was just as crazy at 9pm as it is
in the middle of the afternoon, but I love it!
Rylee was Abby Cadabby this year for Halloween, I seem to have a pattern
going for having the same theme for Rylee’s birthday and Halloween (last year
was a cupcake theme for both). John took
her trick-or-treating to a few houses in the neighborhood and then we headed to
my friend Andrea’s parents’ house and then to my dad’s. She didn’t completely get the
trick-or-treating part, she just thought it was an invitation to walk right
into complete stranger’s houses! It was
a lot of fun watching her though!
At the beginning of November, we ventured to Tennessee for
my cousin Tonya’s wedding. We flew out
of Kansas City (it was more than $300 cheaper, and there was a direct flight to
Nashville), and Rylee did awesome compared to last year. We took her car seat with us on the flight so
she was strapped down, turned on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the DVD player, gave
her a few snacks, and she was set! We
stayed in Nashville for two nights for the wedding, which was a lot of
fun! We walked to downtown Nashville and
shopped around Saturday morning, then headed back to the hotel to get ready for
the wedding Saturday night. Rylee had a
little stomach bug Friday and Saturday (there was a small puking incident at
the rehearsal dinner, but with my catlike momma reflexes, I think I got her out
of there before anyone knew what was going on!), so I was hoping after a good
nap before the wedding, she would feel a little better for the wedding. It seemed to work, because she had a blast
dancing! The wedding and the reception
were amazing. The reception was in an
old brick building in Nashville and they had an awesome band. It was a lot of fun to have my mom’s whole
side of the family together! I don’t
think EVERYONE had been together since my brother’s wedding more than 10 years
ago! They also had glow necklaces and
bracelets at the reception, which Rylee was a big fan of J All-in-all, we had a successful trip to
Tennessee!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, I know our family has
a lot to be thankful this year…now on to Christmas! Hopefully this “Elf on the Shelf” thing will
keep Rylee and the terrible two’s away for the month of December J
